READ THIS!!!!! (dec 2007) BOOKING TERMS (unsigned/flyer deal) Due to the spate of new "venues" and bands failing to deliver on promises - the following rules have been imposed :
A): Regardless of how you have booked a show, do not accept confirmation unless you can fill the quota as stated. If by stage time on the night it is apparent you have not attempted to reach your quota we will pull your set EVEN IF YOU ARE READY TO PLAY! (its not fair others make the effort & you steal thier audience)
B:) You MUST produce your own downloadable / paper flyer (not an sms text) as this proves you have made the effort and acts as an invoice (WE PAY £1 per flyer,we ask no deposit, no money up front,no minmum quota, no pay to play. If you do well you get a bomus to).If your fans dont use flyers - you dont get paid!
C:) Agreed gear share means exactly that. EVERY band is relying on the others to be on time and bring the agreed backline. If you dont the show is ruined! (there are no "rules" that the "headline" brings a drum kit. Most bands DO NOT share amp heads or drum breakables)
D:) We have a 21 day before (7 day after) , 8 mile radius rule on all bookings. If we learn you have broken these conditions you are cancelled and not re-booked -simple (you call it "maximum exposure", other bands,venues,punters & industry see a gig a week in the same area as OVERKILL - it does you no favours and its not fair on others).
E): After confirmation (via text usually) you will be sent an EMAIL (NOT a myspace mail) that you must return by way of contract (its very simple, no long paragraphs).THEN YOU ARE READY TO PLAY AT BARMONSTA.
